Hack Reactor - Week 2 Day 4

Another awesome day. Past 10pm again. This is starting to become a trend.

Highlights of the day:

More N-queens

Today we further refined our N-queens solution. We implemented this a completely bitwise solution following an academic paper.

Hack Reactor - Week 2 Day 3

Another 10pm night, but it was totally worth it.

We started a new sprint today and my pair, Andy Coenen, and I finished the two day sprint in 2 hours. Awesomeness!
I also can say that I have never eaten this many burritos in such a short period before. With 2 taquerias super close by and the rain, we always seem to end up there for lunch or dinner. I haven’t had 2 in a day, so we will see if that ever comes to pass.

Hack Reactor - Week 2 Day 2

Highlights of the day:

CSS is crazy powerful

I had no idea all the things you can do with CSS and a little jQuery. I am by no means good at a design, but with a couple lines of styling, you can get a lot done. The downside is that you can add a ton of styling code and still not see the result you want.

Hack Reactor - Week 2 Day 1

Week 2 has begun. The energy still remains high throughout the cohort.

Today we started a new sprint focused on sub classes and pseudo classical instantiation. We also had the first of many student presentations on various topics. Today’s was given by a senior and was about anti-bodies. Needless to say this was over my head, but an interesting part of the curriculum nevertheless.

First post!!!

Hey all, welcome to my blog. I’ll be writing about things that interest me, but in particular I will be focusing on programming.

As you can see on the About page, I am currently a student at Hack Reactor. Today is my “weekend” or rather, just the single day that we have off each week during the program. So far today, I have spent the morning setting up this site. It is super interesting how much helpful info and guides there are out in the world. Hopefully, this page will become that as well.
